For the workshop descriptions, just include the first paragraph of each workshop abstract on workshops page (not the full workshop description), with the read more icon at the end of the paragraph to navigate to the actual workshop description on each speaker's page (after the bio). The speaker's image and the workshop title should be rollovers that also navigate to the same place. Enabling this navigation will involve adding an anchor for the workshop title on the associated speaker's pages.
