Clicking prev/next/random buttons after searching for and selecting an item instantly crashes

Steps to reproduce:

1. Search for any term that filters the result set down to a modest number of items, I used "corona"
2. Select a result item to view the comic, I selected 2275: "Coronavirus Name"
3. Select any one of the up/down/random navigation buttons
4. Observe crash
