Hi Pablo,

I've started to take a look at Push notifications using Urban Airship, which I understand from Tom is the preferred choice. I'm trying to make a head start on it for when we're ready but it seems that there's quite a bit of integration or involvement going to be needed from both you and Danielle.

Dealing with the iOS version first it requires an iOS dev account and from that a generated dev and production SSL certificate. Once I have that I can then start to work with their API.

I know you're busy now but as a heads up I'll need some help from you before I can get going with this. If you look at the 4th bullet point from the list in the comment above this one you'll see a 'getting started with iOS' link. I assume you have the iOS developer account already?

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Yes I have the dev account set up and in place. Maybe tomorrow if you come here we can discuss this deeply and make the necessary arrangements.

Sounds good, nice one. I'll leave this bit until tomorrow then.

You have the development certificate in your account, anything else give a shout.

Im just making some notes against this thread. Reading the documentation about Urban Airship I think there is work for you to do on the clients to get the information to the UA API.

The first of which is getting the device app token.

pablocarrillo commented 10 years ago

Yes, I have to do some working in my end to get the tokens and the ids / alias for Urban Airship. But at this moment will take me some time to get there. Sorry

No its cool. Im just doing research now to see what I need to do.
