How to cook Thetis #988

Hi Pavel,

I hope you are fine under recent COVID-19 crisis.

I was told that Thetis now talks protocol 1 and RedPitaya is connectable to it. Therefore, I installed the latest V 2.8.11 and am trying to work for RedPitaya for a few days.

It seems RedPitaya works any "Radio Model" selection, i.e. any models automatically recognizes either protocol 1 or 2, but the behavior of "Diversity" and "Pure Signal" are different. Diversity would not work from HERMES to ANAN-100B category and Pure Signal would not work except HERMES.

So, I am expecting the activation of Pure Signal by feeding the sniffing signal to IN1 with one of ANAN "D" models selection but it is unsuccessful and I can not see any Feedback indication.

Are you aware of any proper settings for RedPitaya community about Thetis?

I am expecting your response soon.

Regards,

take

We are at almost near agreement.

The only point of disagreement is that you don't think PowerSDR mRX PS is the reference implementation of protocol 1.

It's already not important.

I already figured out what had to be done and I managed to do it:

If this new version works well for you, then there is nothing to discuss or agree to.

If you ask me to do that job, yes, I can do.

I'm not asking you to do that. That's your idea.

The only point that I try to make without much success is to explain how I think a contribution to an open source project like Thetis should be made without disturbing its developer too much.

If you don't agree, that's fine with me.

Pavel,

Yes or no about your statement "you don't think PowerSDR mRX PS is the reference implementation of protocol 1". My conclusion is that it is the perfect program related to Hermes protocol 1 interpretation and can be the reliable reference when Thetis will implement the protocol into their code.

Yes, I know quite well you want to say "a contribution to an open source project like RedPitaya should be made without disturbing its developer too much". But all the audience now know you made the great contribution again and also know the fact it can not be made without you (and disturbing.)

I have already received several mails from JA audience behind me are excited to see your new gift for us and I am honored to express our sincere appreciation to you representing JA users.

Thank you very much.

No, that's not what I meant. Please don't try to find any hidden information in my comments.

English is a foreign language for both of us, so I do my best to make my comments as clear as possible.

The version with five receivers is now in this release.

Hi Pavel,

Thank you for your notice of the inclusion of the achievement in Release 20210326.

So far, I have not hear any negative reports from Japanese RP users in both mRXPS and Thetis, I have my confidence that the new release has the equivalent quality level of previous version.

Now, I hope you will consider to include the introduction of "-ananxd " program in SDR transceiver compatible with HPSDR (http://pavel-demin.github.io/red-pitaya-notes/sdr-transceiver-hpsdr/) . I am sure this action will practically shift the majority of users to "-ananxd" as default for OpenHPSDR.

This is also my response to prevention of "foreign language phrase" and will effectively shortens our thread from 78 days to 24 days to get the conclusion, Please refer to our January 26 2021 exchanges in this thread.
