Maybe someone interessted, but you can actually buy a perfect hardware solution on the chinese market. It does not come with the software, however it can be still easily modified. More info here: https://github.com/EliasKotlyar/Canfilter

This is awesome, thanks! I saw them around while back, but had no idea how to reprogram them for my purposes.

@EliasKotlyar So $30 instead of $100 for the shield and a smaller form factor, great! Have you written a firmware that does just what @pavelmalik 's does?
