I too have this issue. I am running 2.0.1 on a fresh install of  Windows 7 
Enterprise 64 bit - and there is no http folder.

Same issue on VLC 2.0.1 on Ubuntu...

the http folder is in the lua folder in version 2.01. You could of just 
searched for the ".hosts" file within the VLC folder.

All VLC versions have the http interface..

On windows the .hosts file is located in: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\http

And in ubuntu/debian it is located in: /usr/share/vlc/lua/http

Please try googling your problem a bit before submitting a faulty bug report to 
the app dev...
