SSH hangups #293

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Long into SSH
2. Type stuff
3. Hangs and buffers the typed text until after a minute it will "catch up"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Text inputed instantly, instead it takes time for it to display

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Snake 1.3.2 from both my Ubuntu desktop and my ICS Asus Transformer

Please provide any additional information below.
Sounds like other people have the same problem without any solution.  I would 
like to be able to use this as an SSHable chroot debian box but it seems 
without this problem fixed it's unusable.

This is a symptom of overloaded CPU. What is the output of command "top"?
