How do you access the PDB? Upon execution of a license agreement we would establish an account. The account will name an administrator and from their the administrator is responsible for creating and editing IDs within the account. That being said, if you are using Vlocity’s integration, you would establish a user ID and password to be used with their web service, then process all of your reporting through their integration.

How exactly does this service work?

How do the Fees work? The Fee table is a bit confusing, is there a simple bottom line cost? There are no subscription fees, membership fees, or minimum usage requirements associated. You are only charged for the reports you run. A PDB Detail report has a standard cost of $1.29 per report. Are the $20,000, $40,000 and $60,000 fees one-time fees or yearly? No. These values represent our Guaranteed Amount addendum thresholds. For example, if you can generate at least $20,000 in revenue to NIPR in a calendar year (Guaranteed Amount addenda run 1/1 through 12/31) the price of the PDB Detail Report goes down to $1.22. What is the difference between the free notification alerts and the producer alerts? These prices represent the two different delivery methods we offer for the PDB Alerts product. I have attached an overview of the product, which has a breakdown of the two methods.

  1. What is the cost for NIPR? 2,600 brokers today There are no subscription fees, membership fees, or minimum usage requirements associated with establishing an account with NIPR’s Subscriber Services. As far as other costs, this will depend on the reports or transactions of interest. I have attached a copy of our fee schedule for review. If there are any questions regarding the products and/or pricing, please let me know.
  2. Does NIPR pull all the state licensing from individual states? The Producer Database (PDB) is a central repository of producer licensing information updated on a timely basis by participating state insurance departments. All 50 states, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands supply information to the PDB.
  3. How often is the sync? (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) Important for recredentialing of brokers I’m assuming sync refers to how often the database is updated. The database is updated on a nightly basis. That being said, we cannot guarantee when a state will provide data to the PDB, but generally you can expect data to be uploaded to the database 1 to 2 business days after state processing. For example, if a license is renewed today and the state approves this today, the data should be in the PDB by Friday. Again, this cannot be guaranteed, but for the most part this is usually the timeline.
