Adding support to choose a select option by value and Text as generic methods.

I tried adding test cases as with other generic methods which includes: negative, positive, negative with parent and positive with parent scenarios. Is something else I am missing?

@grawk I implemented the functionality branching from master. I though it was a problem, because some unrelated commits appeared by doing so. Will open again as soon as I can once a solve this problem ;)
