scriptno breaks WP Plugin BWPS option Hide Backend #205

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. On your wordpress blog, install the plugin Better Word Press Security
2. Enable the plugin option Hide Backend
3. Use Chrome with Scriptsafe enabled
4. Attempt to login to your blog

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see the admin or user dashboard page. Instead, get the WordPress
"notfound" page, which reads:
This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.
At this point, you are not logged in as expected.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
chrome Version 25.0.1364.155
Mac OS 10.8.2
ScriptSafe v1.0.6.13
Better WP Build Version: 3059
Better WP Security Version 3.4.8 By Bit51.com

Please provide any additional information below.
When ScriptSafe is disabled, login works fine.
I will notify the BWPS plugin developer about this also. This may seem like an
obscure problem, but BWPS is one of the most popular plugins for WordPress, the
most popular blogging software.

This is still a problem in
Chrome 31.0.1650.48,
ScriptSafe v1.0.6.16,
Mac OS 10.9

Over on the Word Press side, people install BWPS and then can't log into their
site at all -- they end up re-installing their blog and so forth, without
realizing they could disable ScriptNo and get in.
