Unless your USB doesn't boot, you can ignore this error. Have you actually tried booting your USB?
not yet, so do you mean i can ignore this error message and use it as it is?
Yup.
thank you for your quick reply. i will try to boot my usb. and here is the picture of the error screen
sorry i pressed the close issue
I configured my computer to boot using that usb, but it did not work, the windows 8.1 logo did not show up,it started normally.what am i gonna do?is it because of the error message while copying the files into the usb?
Nah, it should work, but you need to be mindful that you created a BIOS bootable USB only. If your computer is UEFI (which is likely if you bought it in the past 5 to 10 years) then you either need to enable Legacy Boot/CSM in your UEFI fimware, or recreate the USB and make sure you select "GPT partition scheme for UEFI".
I did it., even if a undetermined error message still poped up.i booted the usb and i used the older version of rufus 1.4.6 as stated in this video. https://youtu.be/VmtRE9LTCOE. And i downloaded a different windows 8.1 iso from a different site., but for further knowledge, and for other people, can you teach me how to do the setup you stated above?thanks.
can you teach me how to do the setup you stated above?
I already explained as far as I can go. If you need more of a tutorial, the google is your friend, because this issue tracker is not the place to teach people basic concepts like BIOS, UEFI, MBR or GPT.
Considering that you solved your problem, I will close your issue.
Also, be mindful that I can only ever support official retail ISOs from Microsoft. If you aren't using n official Windows ISO, it's up to you to solve boot issues.
