Apparently Oled cannot cause any freezing of Esp32...
It is possible that the version you previously had installed was a very old one about mid november.
There has been several new version of Esp32 code and the error may be elsewhere.
Unfortunately at the beginning (last year) i have not tracked all changes.... So it is difficult to define where the error could be.
