2 years ago Sounds like an "issue" with Qt's QPlainTextEdit... I don't know how https://textexpander.com/ is supposed to interact with a QPlainTextEdit (or how I could help it).

2 years ago It's weird because there's no issue when using textexpander in the search field or in any of the settings fields, although I'm not certain why anyone would do the latter.
If the issue is based on some type of dependency that you don't control I guess there's not much more to be asked.

2 years ago I've no control over how Textexpander is interacting with a QPlainTextEdit, you could try to ask Textexpander...

Expected behaviour
Using the textexpander.com service/app I expect any of my text snippets to expand into their full values within QOwnNotes just like they do in any other app.
Actual behaviour
TextExpander snippets do not function in QOwnNotes. The snippets work in all other applications I have tried on Windows 10, but not with QOwnNotes. I have checked all of the settings in TextExpander to see if something was disallowing QOwnNotes, but all settings are set to allow use in all apps. I have also tried TextExpander in the actual .md files that QOwnNotes is referencing and it functions within the files just fine. However, in QOwnNotes itself the TextExpander snippets do not function whatsoever.
