2 years ago I have found the "missing" permission dialog: I was experimenting to determine whether the feature of the web companion that displays links from the current note in QOwnNotes was working. When I clicked on the companion icon in Firefox, the permission dialog displayed (and agreed). Now the companion saves content correctly.
You might want to consider adding some text in the FF extensions page about how to enable this, because it is not obvious, and I have not seen this behavior for other extensions.

2 years ago Thank you. I wished you could show a dialog when using that context menu functions without the confirmation. But you can't.
Expected behaviour
The web clipper was working correctly until recently.
Actual behaviour
With the latest FF upgrade (97.0.1) an error is thrown when invoking the clipper and the Browser Console opens with errors, starting with Unchecked lastError value: Error: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.
Steps to reproduce
I have verified the port in use, updated to a new token, restarted FF and QOwnNotes, and rebooted my system. None fixed the issue. Also removed and reinstalled web clipper.
