Expected behaviour

When adding hash to format the navigation menu if you have ## and below it an item with #### it should just show it as a nested item. the "one on layer three" Should show below Second

You mean when you are lacking a h3 and so there is no connection from h2 to h4? That's currently not supported, is there are reason you want "wrong markup" to be supported? 😁

You mean when you are lacking a h3 and so there is no connection from h2 to h4? That's currently not supported, is there are reason you want "wrong markup" to be supported? grin

Document formatting wise having a lower heading makes more sense and form a document design standpoint it is not a "wrong" thing.
I would have thought that the menu would follow the flow of the document and not some rule set on the formatting. It is a minor issue so if too hard I can live with it.
