since January 2019, MaxMind is no longer publishing v1 database updates, only supporing MaxMindDB ones in the future

ipv6calc 2.0.0beta1 is now available via the branch "add-mmdb-support", feel free to test

it got beside some internal reviews and changes support for MaxMindDB geolocation files provided by MaxMind (GeoIP) and db-ip.com
