Steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Launch the game.
2.No gamepad initialization sound can be heard.
3.Buttons are all mapped wrong

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The game picking up x360ce and working as if it had an xbox gamepad, something
which is not happening.

What versions of x360ce and Windows are you using?
Latest version of x360ce available from this site and some SVN build grabbed
from another site. Windows 7 x64, ultimate.

What gamepad do you use? On what drivers version?
PS2 gamepad over USB. Standard windows drivers.

Please attach a log file created with Log=1 setting in x360ce.ini file.
Also make sure you use latest x360ce libraries !

PS
No log version I could spot was created, perhaps because the game is not
initializing x360ce?

Rename the xinput1_3 file as stated in the wiki's, one of them should work.

Did that make x360ce to work? I tried these as well as quite a few other
possible combinations and there's is no way I can make the game to pick up the
emulated controller. No ding and it still uses DInput directly from the
controller...
