UDMP-SE issue #17

Open MichaelisForMe opened 2 years ago

MichaelisForMe commented 2 years ago

The UDMP SE boots into UnifiOS and moves away from ubios. It’s firmware is 2.x branch which would indicate the UDM and UDMP will be moving to this branch.

UDM Information

Variant: UDMPRO SE Firmware Version: 2.2.4 Controller Version: 6.3.51

the current project isn't working atm.

Any updates on this? curious if this is going to be dead soon or not.

abh commented 2 years ago

@Berzerker, @MichaelisForMe -- "isn't working at the moment" isn't a useful bug report. If the maintainer or someone else have an SE maybe they'd run into the same problem, but maybe they won't.

@cronkllr did you get it working? how did you do it? did you use udm-utilities to install podman to do it?

imit8r commented 2 years ago

@cronkllr I would love to see some sort of step by step, if you get it all working on your UDM SE. I got mine a few days ago, and have been bashing my head against the wall trying to get it to work correctly.

Take a look at my fork. Step by step is there.

Your fork is where I got a LOT of my info, and guide. I don't know what I am doing/did wrong, but I have 2 issues. 1st, podman and wpa_supplicant do not start up automatically, which I can get to after I get the 2nd issue done. 2nd, I get an EAP authentication failure and I really don't know where to start. I am not sure if I did something wrong pulling my certs out, which I think I did the first time, but after reading more carefully, I am 95% certain I have them pulled right.

In your step by step, the first issue I had came at the step that you do the podman pull. It gave an error and I didn't write it down, but I think I fixed that part. It was something about no valid short name or alias. Anyways. Some help would be great!

I followed your steps but I'm getting this error. Any chance you could point me in the right direction.

ERRO[0000] validating network configs: invalid cni_plugin_dirs: /usr/libexec/cni,/usr/lib/cni,/usr/local/lib/cni,/opt/cni/bin

Seems Podman is having issues. Any podman command generates the error. I copied the artifacts at the link below since your link is outdated, did I need to do anything after unzipping them on the root of the UDM-P SE? https://github.com/boostchicken-dev/udm-utilities/suites/5733619642/artifacts/189930239
