Adding testing for delete flag #52

Adding this draft while I have a sec. It's still not working, as I am getting a nil pointer reference somewhere.

Thanks for fixing this @joshfinnie . I'm going to merge this into the feature/adding_delete_flag branch so that there's a single PR for review.
