typed
Letters are not echoed, typing 'N' displays more help.

These menus are controlled by the story game files themselves, in this case,
the author of "Lost Pig".

Pressing space should return you to the help menu, which should have
instructions at the top in the status bar that says "N = next subject, P =
previous, RETURN = read subject, Q = resume game".

Is the status bar not displaying correctly? Does Q not exit the menus?

If this problem is still occurring, a screenshot might be useful. Press Home
and the sleep button at the same time and it will add a screenshot to your
camera roll, which you can email or sync with your computer.

Thanks for the speedy reply! The status bar wasn't displaying at all and I was
completely stuck, unable to quit, restart or anything. I started playing
another story, and then when I went back into 'Lost Pig' to take a screenshot -
the status bar is now displayed correctly, just as you describe. If the
problem recurs I will post a screen capture.
