The summary should be sufficient.

Or (or in addition), indicate the number of incomplete tasks that are overdue.

We had some debate about this when building the first release of the extension. 
 Some people we spoke to didn't want to know how many tasks they have to do all 
the time (similarly some people don't like knowing how many unread messages 
they have in their Inbox).

I suggest this is implemented as a setting (but enabled by default).
