Configure the task list used when adding via the omnibar #2

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create multiple tasks lists (via Gmail UI)
2. Add a task with the omnibar
3. There is no control over which list the task goes to

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

There has been a report that a user would like to be able to configure which
list the omnibar based tasks go to; for this there should be a settings UI
allowing selection of a default list to use from the set of lists the user has
created.

These issues will prevent me from using the extension and easy omnibar
shortcut. I make project specific task lists and don't like that the extension
resets to the default list each time. The extension should save which list is
active allowing the 't' shortcut to add to the active list.

I agree this would be very useful to have if you have multiple lists and the
fact that it does not exists will stop me from using it (I will still use the
"Canvas" version).

I understand however that it is not as easy to add as one might think because
there is no settings for the lists, yet. So, as an intermediate solution one
could decide, for example, to have a rule that says that new tasks created via
the Omnibar should always be added to the list sorted first, alphabetically.
This would make it behave in a more predictable way until there is a "real" way
to tell the system which the "active" list is.

Thanks for listening!
