Where is ruby-gettext? #189

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

I'm using ubuntu 8.04, and I can't seem to find where I should get the
ruby-gettext file, which is a dependency for ruby to install. I cannot find
it in the package manager, and it doesn't appear to be on the site here
either. Thanks for any help!

You should ask the ubuntu community to solve this problem. Any decent distro
should
leave the name of dependencies intact. In Arch Linux it's just ruby-gettext:

bash-3.2# pacman -Ss ruby-gettext
community/ruby-gettext 1.90.0-1
A Native Language Support Library and Tools which is modeled after GNU
    gettext package
