RubyRipper does not recognize my CD-ROM drive #218

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run RubyRipper
2. See error message "Cdrom drives scd0 does not exist on your system.."
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

It should see the drive.

/dev/cdrom is a symlink to scd0.
Even though rubyripper does not recognize the drive, if you click EJECT,
the drive tray is ejected.

What version of rubyripper are you using? On what operating system? Are you
using the gtk2 or the commandline interface?

rubyripper 0.5.2
Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04.1
Using gtk2 interface.

Please provide any additional information below.

WORKAROUND:
If you changed the rubyripper cdrom preferencs from /dev/cdrom to
/dev/scd0, rubyripper recognizes the cdrom drive.

Can you confirm this problem is fixed in latest svn? See the [Subversion] wiki
page
to see how you can do this.

Yes, Revision 270 of the svn code has fixed the problem.
