my output with the latest version from the repository (checkout Jan 31, 2009)

$ rrip_gui
Ripping track 0
Wrong filesize reported for track 0 : 5275692
Filesize should be : 696474284

I cannot reproduce this.

You are sure you are using latest git indeed? With other words, you actually 
used the
./configure ; make install procedure?

Otherwise you should just use ./rubyripper_gtk2.rb from within the git dir to 
launch
the gui without installing it.
