Prep for initial release #11

Closes some issues related to getting bay 3 running, and ease of use.

This PR should make the app ready for a tag and first release.

@aberges-SLAC @christina-pino A review is not strictly needed, but thought I would include you here as the app is ready to go into production, and you may or may not be aware of its existence. :)

Let me know if you have any questions, or ideas for features that are not in the existing issues.

I'll likely merge and release sometime Monday otherwise.
