Only pcsp-udb (and several other small projects) are GPL atm. If we see some
interest
on this , we will consider open pcsp source as well.

There is no point to open a project just for seeing betas all around the net.
Oh and
0.3.0 will probably have a linux version ;D

There isn't a planned date for 0.3.0

As for rest questions you know you can just use the forum :D

0.3.0 is released and no source. from what i remember, GPL requires to turn in
sources at least at request of the user (paying or non-paying if it's free)
and, well, this looks like request.

if you not going to abide GPL rules, please, don't write that your work is GPL.
it's misleading at best.

besides, even if you give sources but didn't code for GNU/Linux support you or
someone will have to at least
1) set up some mainstream build system like cmake or autotools with proper
building options (like building with/without GUI).
2) teach emulator to read its stuff first from global _build-time defined_ data
dir like /usr/share/games/pcsp.
3) teach emulator to write only in ~/.pcsp.
to make proper use of it on FOSS systems. this is what Dolphin do right now and
it looks painfully since they didn't concerned about it at beginning.

virtuousfox, the code is not open source emulator read to shadow, only the
loader PCSP-udb and other small jobs , this it first running on linux (PCSP-udb
QT4 interface) in this moment.

maximu : very cool i didn't know it was working on linux :D

virtuousfox: i repeat myself. Only pcsp-udb and small utilities are under GPL .
No-one said that PCSP emulator is under GPL at least not atm. However anyone
with some skills that want to participate on emulation can have access to PCSP
source. You can start by fixing pcsp-udb bugs and if we decide that you have
what it takes then we will give you access to code :)

Once again, the PCSP title and summary were misleading. I wish we could change
the project name but I guess it is not possible. I changed at least the
description and the summary, hoping it is now clear. If not, give us more hints
how to remedy.

Cheers.

i got that "the code is not open source". what confused into believing that you
positionate it as GPL-licensed is http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psp/
which states it's GPL (haven't found any other license or its mentioning
anywhere), devs words about "opening sources with 0.3.0" and your site looking
very similar to Dolphins.
looks like you do not.

i'm got no such skills. the reason i'm interested in sources is that i'm using
source-based distro and properly bulldable and configurable by scripts software
is obligatory for including it into repository, even personal one.
even with some elf-binaries accessible or buildable, using it otherwise is a
pain in the ass (psx, epsxe, pcsx2, kega, dolphin (for now), etc... pain in the
ass. sometimes its more usable with win32 version under wine).

i not surprised that you can build frontend for linux, especially qt one. those
requirements i stated is requirements "of good tone" to users in FOSS and
pretty much requirements for official distribution of your software in, well,
distributives and their repos, if you interested.
looks like you do not either. for now, anyway :(

it looks really promising, come ooon, you really think some hypothetic "forks"
can spoil your show ? for that they must be at least better than you in coding
and organizing things and also being incredible assholes not to give away
changes (which you will be able to take back anyway by GPL terms). can you even
imagine such people ?
even in that case, everyone will know who is main developers and where to find
them.
