Cannot build on OS X 10.10.2 #436

I wanted to build a recent version of Miro on OS X, but didn't succeed. The HowTo on the PCF development wiki is heavily outdated.

The setup_sandbox.sh script complains that

Building and running Miro is only supported on Mac OS X 10.{6,7,8}.

Is it really true that Miro cannot be built on recent versions of OS X?
