OVOS ? #48

Hi there @pcwii @david-morris been using you great KODI skill for years on my trusty picroft. but as you may be aware, mycroft is dead :( so i have moved on to OVOS, mycroft reincarnation. any chance you will port your skill to OVOS? as you can see, ovos does not have any kodi skills yet.... https://openvoiceos.github.io/OVOS-skills-store/

I have not had any definite plans to port it. I have been watching OVOS while it has been developed and maturing to see how it was progressing. I do have an RPI4 lying around that I was planning to use to give OVOS a try, maybe it is time to have a look. So to answer your question, I don't currently have any plans to port the skill but I won't rule it out. Knowing there are people like yourself that have been happy with the skill is good motivation to have a look at it and see what is involved. What "flavor" of OVOS are you running? Also I have moved most of my media to Jellyfin so I haven't used KODI in a while, are you using the latest build of KODI too?

I'm using the latest kodi nexus running on LibreElec 11, but I see they have issued LE12 beta with new kodi Omega (v21), so once that gets to stable i guess i will upgrade.

well. if you moved away from kodi and from mycroft, I completely understand it will be hard to work on this...but thanks for reaching out! I have opened a topic on the open conversational forum, maybe someone would be willing to fork your skill..
