Let me rephrase that. Simply using the pause/play button in the system tray, Google Play Music exhibits the same behavior.
I think you're reporting these problems to the wrong person.
Ah no. Thinking about this for a minute.
The issue I'm hitting is that when an event (such as either pressing the pause button on BT headphones or the system tray media notification) tells KDE to pause the currently playing media, if that media is Google Play Music through Chrome with your extension, the extension fails to actually pause it (or hit play similarly). I don't have this problem playing a YoutTube video.
So I feel like this is a valid bug. @pdf, can you explain why that wouldn't be the case?
Thanks!
I'm happy to write out full repro steps if you'd like that level of detail.
I'm seeing (hearing?) this weird thing where pressing the pause button on my Bluetooth headphones will stop audio playback, but not pause Google Play Music. The audio looks like it's still playing (the pause/play button remains to show the pause symbol), track scrubber continues to move. After about 10 seconds my Bluetooth headphones start playing audio back again, with wherever the song is in Google Play Music.
Pausing the music with my keyboard or with just clicking the Pause/Play button does the right thing.
