I am not sure if this is something it is checking for, but I did make two of the links in my document point to the same place. Each link did have different text, so maybe that is why it didn't throw any errors.
I updated my document to have two links that were identical text but pointed to different places and two others that were identical text and pointed to the same place. The results were the same.
I think a test that could be present here is:
multiple links with the same text but point to different places (ie - 13 links on page, all say "click here" but all go to different websites)
