@MarcinKosinski What would be the best form of the intro? A vignette, separate markdown file or GitHub wiki?

@pdrhlik I think the updated readme.md is the easiest to find and the first thing a person can notice the moment he/she enters a repo. Wiki is a bad idea. We can have the readme copied into the vignette also

Ok, I'll try to put it there. I wanted to avoid making the README too long. We'll see how it looks.
