peaceknight05 / warbler-dictionaries

My personal stenography dictionaries for use with Plover CAT software. Based off of Lapwing Theory and fully backward-compatible with Lapwing rules, with a few additional rules for briefs sprinkled on top of it. Adds a large amount of non-North American pronunciations / British pronunciations.

Bath - NA /bæθ/ /bɛəθ/ /beəθ/ /baθ/ pronounced as /bɑːθ/, sometimes even /bɔːθ/

peaceknight05 commented 5 months ago

Tentatively, we will extend A to include these given that they are "a" sounds for GB speakers, and differentiated from /ɔ/ which Lapwing denotes as AU when not spelt with an "o".

Following Lapwings revision of A and AU outlines (see aerickt/steno-dictionaries@cd0ae97), Warbler will follow suit and add AU outlines for these words pronounced with /ɑ/ or /ɔ/ (as with a South England accent).
