Can someone explain the difference between this and our current implementation? I'm not super technical, so I'll try my best to keep up.

@johnsBeharry We've reached a relative conclusion regarding how the structure of the system could look like. (And it's most likely won't be made into a new separate NIP, (which is mostly a good thing))

So if you would like to take a look at the discussion in the link above or add anything, please do so.

I think this issue can be closed as the hard link between url and thread is not desired. As I understood on a call today, bolt-fun wants to change the url which would break the comments.

Also as kind-1 is currently used, it is implied that engagement with other social clients is desired. Sadly that currently does not work as:

• The original post - the Story - cannot be found on nostr and isn't linked with comments neither
• The comments don't show on bolt.fun as here, a special tag is required

I suggest to implement threaded replies as per kind-1 events, with the story generating just a minimal nostr event linking to bolt.fun and the replies being nostr-replies without limiting tags so that bolt-fun turns compatible with Astral, Damus and the other nostr apps.
