Add user options:

starting point
rotation angle of axis curves

Further options/changes to allow use on closed surfaces

limit on the extents of the axes used to generate the mesh
whilst generating the each axis, project the 'direction' vector onto the surface (to maintain to good relationship with the surface geometry)

Think about:

[x] extending beyond the initial 'axes' to fill more complex surfaces
[ ] trimming back to the parent surface
