As requested by @tobbeT, this adds "All Strings", "All Woodwinds", and "All Brass" instruments. Try them out and see what you think. There are a few questions I'd particularly like feedback about.

Hi,

That was fast. I'm a noob when it comes to github. The knowledge is zero. By merge I don't know how to do it. I download these you sent me and get back to tell you how they sound.

As requested by @TobbeT https://github.com/TobbeT, this adds "All Strings", "All Woodwinds", and "All Brass" instruments. Try them out and see what you think. There are a few questions I'd particularly like feedback about.

  • How is the balance between instruments? I can adjust the volumes if necessary.
  • Should I reduce the overall volume? Having all instruments playing at once at full volume can get really loud, especially for the brass.
  • I included the solo bass trombone in "all brass". Without it, the lowest octave sounded kind of weak with just the tuba playing all by itself. Try removing that line from the file and see if you agree it's an improvement. I also could try reducing its volume.

Hi, and thanks for the full sections. Haven't had time to play with it much but the little I've done they sound fantastic. Really, really good. Now I have some issues with SFIZZ 1.23 and Reaper (Linux) it sometimes get stuck on notes. I tried to compile an earlier version (1.22) that seems to work but it doesn't work for me. Must do something wrong. I'm still investigating and trying to fix it. Thanks again for your work. Much appreciate.

I had the same problem on macOS. I reported it to them, but no one has replied. Maybe if you post there to say you're also having the problem, it will get more attention?

I reduced the volumes a bit. After more testing, I concluded it worked better.

Hi, all this new added things you do on github, do they get merged into the current v3.8 release?

Once a release is created it never changes. It provides a permanent snapshot of the project at a point in time. I plan to release 3.9 either today or tomorrow.

Hi, and thanks alot for all your work. One question: Have you seen the player Rhapsody from Libre Wave? There is a piano (free) that sounds awesome - Reso Piano (maybe at PianoBook for download). Someone also have contributed with something called OpenStrings, don't know what libraries they used to get all that sound, also sounds great. Would love to see all SSO in Rhapsody (wink, wink). Rhapsody is like Kontakt, where you have all instruments under one player:
