Releasing pecunia as homebrew cask #524

Open medialwerk opened 4 years ago

Hello,

First: Thanks for the great banking app! My Request: It would be nice to have pecunia as a homebrew cask. I just wanted to write a cask for it and stopped because I have no possibility to access different versions. Is there a source available or is it possible to release the new versions here on Github again?

Thanks and best regards

It is sad that I wanted to contribute to this project and have not received an answer in almost half a year. But I am still hoping... (@mike-lischke ;-) )

@medialwerk It's great you wanna contribute, but in the past we searched for help for several years. But except for some expression of will nothing happened. So at some point we gave up to develop Pecunia in a public sense. Frank still posts updates from time to time (especially for the latest changes in banking), but that's just occasionally.

He had a lot to do in the past with support and help and at some point it simply became too much. No wonder he doesn't look closer at things like this repository.

If you really want to contribute then just grab the repository, build Pecunia yourself and then change something you want to improve. Then send a pull request. That's probably the best you can do atm.

First: Thank you very much for your time, your answer and the explanation what happened in the past. Now I can understand well why there is no activity in the new issues.

I'm not sure if I can make a pull request for a git tag, because that was the thing I was interested in. A zip with a release tag. The latest is Release-1.1.0 but all above is missing. To write a brew cask I guess I have to commit this to the brew repo not here. The thing is, for that I need a url for a specific Pecunia version to implement it in the cask. Eventually Frank reads this and can make this happen for the future versions, then I will write a brew cask.

Big thanks for all your afford!

Maybe the release page can help you?

Yes it would help me, but there are not the current releases for Pecunia 2 (e.g. 2.1.0) :-)
