unclear instructions #3

"copy contents of release/otls to your /home/username/houdiniXX.Y/otls folder (create if doesn't exist) and you are good to go!"

Houdini seems to be installed in programfiles folder "C:\Program Files\Side Effects Software\Houdini 17.5.325\"

Is that where I need to copy the release folder to? When you say create it if it doesn't exist as .../houdiniXX.Y/otls folder, do you mean the XX.Y is supposed to be written like: Houdini 17.5.32 (is there a space also?)

sorry for late response once you start houdini for the first time - it will create a folder in your user directory. if you installed houdini17.5 - it will create folder c:\users\\Documents\houdini17.5 there you should create otls folder and copy otls to

Okay, so now that I have got it installed correctly, do you have any basic tutorials for using it? How would I go about making a basic 4D shape?

there are no tutorials, but there are some example hip files in release folder that should demonstrate the overall workflow for 4d objects I'm afraid some basic houdini experience might be required to understand them
