VCD image mounting not working #191

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install new beta 0.4 on server and client
2. Import database from 0.3 version
3. Assign VCD as image mounting software and attempt to play ISO image of
a Blu-Ray

Please answer the following questions (if they apply):

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected the program to launch PowerDVD9 Ultra within VMC (previous
version did this), instead I see a black screen and nothing happens.

What is the OML Version? x86 or x64?

x64

How did you add the movie? (MyMovies, DVDProfiler, DVRMS, MovieCollectorz,
DVD/Video Scanner)

OML Database Editor

Did you import from within the VMC UI, command line or DB Editor?

DB Editor

What kind of movie type do you have problems with? (DVD, Blu-ray, AVI, ISO,
etc, Extender, HD-DVD)

ISO image of a Blu-Ray

How do you play movies, extender or VMC directly?

VMC directly

Please provide any additional information below.

It seems like OML is not launching VCD software to "open" the ISO file as
a disk. I have specified the location of VCD using the advanced options.
The whole process was fairly seemless in the previous version,
click "play" on the movie, VCD takes over and mounts the image, then PDVD9
within VMC would automatically launch and play the movie. If I stopped
the movie I would be back at the PDVD screen within VMC, and then exiting
that would take me back to OML.

Ok... apologies for this, managed to get it working. I had specified VCD in
the OML
Database Editor as well, but for some reason upon looking at it again it had
disappeared. I re-specified it in the application, then went back into VMC and
the
process of launching a Blu-Ray ISO worked as expected.

This option needs to be removed from the editor. This setting is per machine.
Modifying it via the editor would only result in it being set for the machine
that
the editor is currently running on.

Mike, can you strip this out of the editor? DevExpress barfs if I open a
designer.
