What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to play a movie from Xbox 360 via VMC x64
2. If I play a movie on local hard drive, it gives "Cannot find file or
don't know how to play this file type" error
3. If I play a movie from an attached USB drive, I receive INVALID
APPLICATION Unable to launch "Open Media Library"

Please answer the following questions (if they apply):

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see movie, receive errors as noted above

What is the OML Version? x86 or x64?
x64

How did you add the movie? (MyMovies, DVDProfiler, DVRMS, MovieCollectorz,
DVD/Video Scanner) scanner

Did you import from within the VMC UI, command line or DB Editor?
DB editor

What kind of movie type do you have problems with? (DVD, Blu-ray, AVI, ISO,
etc, Extender, HD-DVD)
DVD

How do you play movies, extender or VMC directly?
Xbox 360. Movies play fine on VMC computer from both locations

Please provide any additional information below.
1.I've tried the Transcoder Diagnostics from DB editor. I receive failed to
connect to transcoder service. Check windows firewall. I turned windows
firewall off and still receive same error.

Okay, I uninstalled, turned off Windows Firewall, Defender and UAC started the
Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service (also switched it to Automatic). Reinstalled and
ran
Transcoder Diagnostics. Received the following:

Starting service.
The service is currently startpending.
The service is currently running.
Service started.
Creating transcoder notifier.
Creating transcoder service proxy.
Registering notifier with service.
Successfully connected to transcoder service.

Starting transcode job on Test, MKV, @ C:\Movies\DICK_JANE

Transcoder has not reported buffer ready in required time!
Unregistering Notifier.
Notifier unregistered.

Restarting transcoder service.
Transcoder service stopped.
Transcoder started.

Additionally, now when I use on Xbox360, after selecting play on a movie, I
receive
the "PROGRAM NOT RESPONDING The Open Media Library program has stopped
responding and
you will be returned to the Windows Media Center"

this sounds like a bug where the service is not doing its thing in time, I'll
check
this over this weekend (weekend starting sept 4th 2009) and see what I can come
up
with.
