Does it work with standalone Veeam BR server? #13

Many thanks for creating this exporter!

I was wondering if it also support pulling data from a single Veeam Backup & Replication server without Enterprise Manager installed? I see that BR also has an API: https://www.veeam.com/veeam_backup_12_0_rest_api_reference_map_ot.pdf

Background: My org only uses a single BR server and introducing EM may result in additional licensing cost.

Kind regards, Dominik

Hi Dominik,

I really don't known. I'm only a guy from the monitoring team without any admin skills about veeam ;) I suggest you to check by your own if possible :

As it is mentionned it the doc, all metrics are set externally (not hard coded in the exporter) so you can choose excallty what you need as metrics by selecting the files.

I hope it can help. please report the results of your tests. Thanks

Hi Dominik, EM pulls in the license at the config stage from the B&R server you connect it with. If you have Enterprise license for it, it should work fine. With free I'm not sure. Also, it's perfectly appropriate to host the two on the same server, EM creates it's own separate database and won't interfere with B&R.
