window half out of screen after start

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start jbrout
2. see the window
3. have to move it into the screen

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the window should be maximized or restored like it was last time, instead it 
starts
with a small window, thus placed in the middle of the screen by window manager, 
and then
is resized but not moved so its half out of screen

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
debian gnu/linux
maybe rev 269?
dont know (does the svn version include any version information?)

Please provide any additional information below.
maybe jbrout should save the x,y position of the window, too?
