Ability to save/share items #18

From the user testing:

'One might want to save or share items, e.g. ‘item 334’, via bookmarking, or tweeting etc. How would I tell a friend about this particular widget instance?'

Not obvious how to do this technically with just javascript - would a bookmarklet work?
