thumbnail strip always get reset to first image #612

While annotating a document imported via IIIF (this) I noticed that, if I choose an image from the thumbnail strip on the left, the image is displayed but then the image strip is "reset" to the first thumbnail -- which results in a rather cumbersome in very long documents (e.g. 1k pages like in this case).

Hi @mromanello,

yes I know, unfortunately not a "bug" per se, but once more an issue of a) too much work, too few resources and b) IIIF/image annotation having been of lower priority in the work plan than the text work. I'm entirely aware of the shortcomings, and they are currently subsumed under this issue here:

In short: the whole image annotation interface is due for an overhaul, although I can't currently say when it can happen. If we get the chance to dis-aggregate Recogito into separate modules (I may have told you about my desire to do that), then this could IMO be one of the first parts to break out & clean up.
