Looks like Chrome messes up highlight rendering for Hebrew text: the highlights appear shifted by some offset (e.g. half a character), despite the SPANs in the underlying markup being correct. The same issue doesn't appear on Firefox.
I suspect this is probably a matter of the combination of Chrome and the specific font we are using. Switching to another font for Hebrew might solve this. (Easily done via CSS, since the language code is attached to the text region as a CSS class.)
