svtplay cuts off #29

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Starting the stream again
2.Restarting PMS and the channel.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
SvtPlay or TV6Play plays for a minute or so before cutting off and starting the
next stream which cuts off after a while. MyP2P plays fine.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SHB34 on Win7 Ultimate Intel x64.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have a similar problem on Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit. SVTPlay plays for
about a minute and then it stops.

Have you tried increasing the java heap memory? Otherwise (as a test only) try
starting the stream then pause the stream and wait for a while and then play
again. The reason for this is that the network speed might mismatch and stuff
is to fast between PMS and the render compared to the speed between PMS and the
external server (=SVT).

I increased the java heap memory to 2048 and tried the start-pause-start trick
but to no avail. Any other ideas? They would be very appreciated.

One could be to lower the bitrate (on SVT). New version of Channels (and SHB)
contians variable which allows you to set the bitrate. Set bitrate 1 to a lower
value than 2400. Try 850 or so...

I will try that. Where do I set the value? My renderer is a Sony Bravia, if
that has any significance. Thanks a lot!
