Oh, thanks for your reply. But it seems a little bit different from the tags of the file 'hindi.pos'. There are 25 kinds of tags in that file, of which some tags like JVB, NNC, NNPC, VFM confuse me:)

oh sorry those are Indian language pos tags. You get more information on the tags from http://www.jmis.org/archive/view_article?pid=jmis-5-3-147 check for the Table 1. Tagset for POS tagging for Hindi language.
