Custom node won't stay connected to specified port

Steps to reproduce:

• Click on the "Rococo" button to change the node to connect to
• Select "Custom Node"
• Specify "ws://localhost:9944" (you need to be running a node in that port)
• Click on "Save"
• Notice a Toast that says you're connected (image attached)
• Reopen the sidebar
• Notice that it says 8844 instead of the specified port.

Besides that, "One click setup" appears to work, so it's unclear if it's just that input that is wrong or other parts of the app can also fail.
