Ultrasonic sensor misdetection #20

The front ultrasonic sensors sometimes detect an obstacle when nothing is there.

I just had my car serviced on 2023-07-18. This is not a software problem. It is caused by the sensors being covered by paint protection film. Any air gaps or bubbles cause spurious reflections.

Specs: Model 3 Standard Range Plus Rear-Wheel Drive, Autopilot, Full Self-Driving Capability Version: 2023.26.7 Location: Zelling Street northbound at intersection with Federal Highway. Comment: Reopened since this issue has occurred more frequently after a software update.
