"No icon resampling" feature

I want to be able to put in a pixel perfect (pixel art) icons in the dock or on 
the home screen.

The big issue is when the icons are resampled with some sort of simple image 
resampling algorithm and the pixel art icon that I use looks horrible when 
resampled.

I have attached a screenshot on my phone that shows this issue with the test 
image.
This issue occurs when trying to "Select picture" and "Select and crop picture".

Please allow ADW Launcher to crop images without resampling, resample 
differently or allow the user to choose a different resampling algorithm so 
that pixel art does not turn out this way. I am not sure exactly what padding, 
margins and image size my icons need to be to show up correctly because the 
recommended icon sizes explained on the Android Developer website won't solve 
this issue.

I am using ADW Launcher 1.3.6 System CM 1.1. And I am Running Android 2.3.7 on 
the Droid X with the ROM CyanogenMod-7-11162011-NIGHTLY-DROIDX.

Sorry, I guess I should have said that the test image's original size is 
128x128.
Also, there is no re sampling on home screen/desktop icons unless they are 
larger than some pixel size like 68x68 or 72x72.

Resampling ALWAYS seems to happen on the toolbar though. I tried another test 
image, which is 54x54 and 56x56, and it is not showing up correctly.
